We will never.

Most "free online tools" quietly cost you something — an account, an upload, an inbox full of email, or your data sold on to someone you never agreed to. Nifty Utilities is built on the opposite promise. Here, in plain language, is what we will never do. These are not aspirations; they are baked into how the site is built.

We will never require a login or account

There is no sign-up, no password, and no profile. Every tool works the moment the page loads. We could not build an account system into these pages even if we wanted to, because there is no server on our side to hold one.

We will never make you upload your files

When you drop a CSV, a bank statement, or a photo into a tool, it is read and processed by code running inside your own browser. The file never travels to us. You can prove it: disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tools still work.

We will never see or store what you enter

Nifty Utilities is a static website with no application backend, database, or upload endpoint capable of receiving your tool inputs. We have no copy of your numbers, your files, or your results — not because we promise to delete them, but because they never reach us in the first place.

We will never sell or broker your data

Selling your tool data is impossible here by design: we never receive it, so there is nothing to sell, share, or hand to a data broker. The one exception people ask about — tools like the Net Worth Tracker that remember figures between visits — save that information only in your own browser's local storage, which you can clear at any time.

We will never paywall a tool you're using

No tool is a free trial that later demands payment, and no result is blurred until you subscribe. If a utility is on the site, it is free to use in full, for personal or commercial work.

We will never gate a tool behind your email

You will never have to "enter your email to see your result," and we will not throw up exit-intent pop-ups or nag walls to catch you on the way out. The tool is the point; you should be able to use it and leave.

What about ads and analytics?

To keep the tools free, some pages show ads and we measure basic, privacy-respecting traffic statistics — and we would rather tell you plainly than pretend otherwise. Those systems load with consent controls and are used only to count visits and keep the lights on. Crucially, they operate at the page level and never receive the contents of what you type, upload, or calculate. Your tool inputs stay between you and your browser.
