Your data never reaches us
Nifty Utilities has no backend server, database, user accounts, or endpoint capable of receiving your tool inputs. Files and entries are processed inside your browser. We cannot view, capture, or store them.
One value per line

A tip that saves real headaches: include the scheme on URLs. A code encoding example.com may open a search instead of the site on some phones, while https://example.com reliably launches the browser. The few extra characters are worth it.

Keep values short for reliable scans
QR codes are not fixed-size grids — the more data you cram in, the more tiny modules (the little black squares) the code needs, and the denser and harder to scan it becomes. A short link scans instantly from across a room; a 200-character URL packed with tracking parameters becomes a dense block that demands a steady hand and good light. Two habits keep your codes friendly:
- Shorten long URLs first, stripping unnecessary query parameters or using a link shortener.
- Always test-scan before printing a batch — open your phone camera and check that each code resolves to the right place.
- For print, download the PNG and scale it up in an image editor; vector-style upscaling keeps edges crisp, and bigger is more forgiving.
- Leave a "quiet zone" — empty white margin — around each code when you lay it out, or scanners may struggle to find its edges.

Each renders at 150 by 150 pixels. That is fine for screens and small labels. For posters or signage, download the PNG and scale it up — and keep the encoded value short so the code stays low-density and prints sharp.
Do the codes expire or stop working?
The QR code itself never expires; it is just a picture of the data you encoded. It will keep working forever. What can break is the destination — if you encode a URL and later take that page down, the code still scans but leads nowhere. For anything long-lived, point codes at a stable URL you control.
What is the maximum number of values per run?
Up to 50 lines are processed at once. For a larger job, run it in batches of 50.
